The homeowner told police that an unknown individual had broken into their residence and stolen several jars of their prized salsa collection. Investigators quickly identified the suspect as Jonathan “Jalapeño” Rodriguez. Rodriguez is a known salsa enthusiast with a history of fencing stolen goods. Police tracked Rodriguez down to a local flea market, where he was allegedly attempting to sell the stolen salsas. Officers confiscated 14 jars of salsa, including rare and sought-after varieties such as the “Inferno Diablo” and the “Scorpion’s Tail.” Rodriguez was arrested and charged with burglary and fencing stolen property.
