The 150-acre park is expected to open in 2025 at the former site of the Bob Hope Airport. It will feature a wide range of immersive attractions, thrilling rides, and interactive experiences inspired by the beloved Marvel superheroes. One of the highlights will be the “Xandarian Starblaster,” a motion-simulator ride that will transport guests on a heart-pounding journey through the cosmos alongside Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax. Another must-see attraction is “The Nova Corps Academy,” where guests can train alongside the elite intergalactic peacekeepers and test their skills in a virtual laser maze. For younger visitors, the park will offer the “Groot Grove,” a whimsical play area filled with giant Groot-shaped structures. The park will also feature a variety of themed food and beverage options, including the “Knowhere Cantina” serving cosmic cocktails and alien cuisine. Guests can also indulge in “Rocket’s Ravager Tacos” and “Gamora’s Nebula Nebula” slushies. “We’re thrilled to bring the Guardians of the Galaxy to life in this immersive and unforgettable amusement park experience,” said Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek. “The park will offer something for everyone, from thrilling rides to interactive attractions and out-of-this-world dining.” According to Burbank Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy, the park is expected to create thousands of jobs and boost the local economy. “This is an exciting day for Burbank and for the entire region,” she said. The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’-themed amusement park is the latest addition to Burbank’s growing entertainment landscape, which includes the Warner Bros. Studios, Universal Studios Hollywood, and the Walt Disney Studios.
