San Antonio Police Investigating Fatal Crash on I-35San Antonio Police Investigating Fatal Crash on I-35 San Antonio, Texas – The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Interstate Highway 35 (I-35) on Tuesday night. According to SAPD, the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-35, near the Hildebrand Avenue exit. Preliminary reports indicate that a sedan driven by a 25-year-old man was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with a semi-truck. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The southbound lanes of I-35 were closed for several hours while police investigated the crash. Traffic was diverted to Loop 410. SAPD is continuing its investigation into the crash.
