Little Rock Downtown Food Truck Festival Moves to Capitol Avenue LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Downtown Food Truck Festival is moving to a new location this year. The festival will be held on September 22 from 11 am to 6 pm and will move to Capitol Avenue from Woodlawn to Chester Street. Little Rock city officials said the new location will provide more space for the expected 60 food trucks, live music, and expected crowds. Officials also noted that the location change was made as an effort to revitalize the area. “Capitol Avenue has been identified as a focus area of the Downtown Master Plan,” said Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of Downtown Little Rock Partnership. “Our hope is that bringing thousands of people to the area will once again spark new ideas and interest in one of our state’s most important streets.” This year the Little Rock Downtown Food Truck Festival, formerly known as the Main Street Food Truck Festival, is celebrating its 13th year. The festival, which typically takes place on Markham Street, will now be held on Capital Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets. The move is intended to provide more space for food trucks and attendees, as well as to enhance the overall festival experience. The new location will offer ample room for food trucks to park and for visitors to stroll and enjoy the offerings. The Downtown Food Truck Festival will continue to feature a diverse array of food options from local vendors, as well as live music and other entertainment. The festival is scheduled to take place on the first Friday of each month from April through October. The first festival at the new location will be held on April 7th, 2023. Visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy the food, music, and atmosphere while supporting local businesses. The relocation of the festival to Capital Avenue is expected to positively impact both the festival and the surrounding area. The festival will bring additional foot traffic to local businesses and contribute to the revitalization of Capital Avenue.
