NEW DELHI: Residents of an apartment complex in Bengaluru’s Yelahanka area are being evacuated by boat as heavy rains continue to cause severe flooding in several parts of the city.
The Allalasandra area was particularly affected by heavy rainfall, creating significant challenges for local residents.
The city experienced heavy rainfall on Monday evening, leading to widespread flooding. In response, the administration announced a holiday for schools. Major intersections such as Silk board they are very wet, which makes traveling difficult.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rainfall in Bengaluru in the next two days. The IMD said, “It is very likely that light to moderate rainfall will occur at isolated places in Karnataka for the rest of the week.”
