Wadena COUNTY, Minn.
— Wadena County Engineer Darin Fellbaum addressed the county Board of Commissioners during its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 4, about the plethora of questions his department has received regarding County Road 101. “Over the last couple of years, I’ve gotten a lot of questions from residents in that part of the community about certain safety concerns,” said Fellbaum, who noted that most of the concerns were related to pedestrian safety. Fellbaum stated that the increase in traffic over the years since a project was last completed on this route will change the layout and functionality of the road in the future. Fellbaum said the County Road 101 project is part of the county’s five-year plan, but as they began the design process, Fellbaum stated the highway department has scheduled an open house for the public to make its voice heard. The open house for the County Road 101 highway project is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Wadena County Courthouse.
