Taranaki Base Hospital’s COVID-19 Hub to CloseTaranaki Base Hospital’s COVID-19 Hub to Close Taranaki Base Hospital’s COVID-19 hub and two other hospital-led vaccination services in New Plymouth will close on June 30, 2023. This includes the Child and Adolescent Community Center (CACC) and the Family Health and Midwife Clinic (The Greenhouse) in Devon Street West. Both clinics have been providing COVID-19 and other funded vaccinations. Acting Group Director for Health NZ Taranaki, Katy Sheffield, expressed gratitude for the collaboration with other health providers in maintaining community safety. She emphasized the importance of staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines, boosters, and other immunizations. Sheffield advised the community to contact their iwi provider, GP, or local pharmacies for vaccination opportunities.

Taranaki Base Hospital’s Covid-19 hub is closing this month.

On Sunday, June 30, the hub and two other hospital-led vaccination services in New Plymouth will close.

This includes the Child and Adolescent Community Center (CACC) and the Family Health and Midwife Clinic (The Greenhouse) in Devon St West. Both clinics provided Covid-19 and other funded vaccinations.

Katy Sheffield, Acting Group Director for Health NZ Taranaki, said it was a pleasure to work with other hauora providers to keep our community safe through Covid-19 testing and vaccinations.

“We still want the community to stay up to date on their Covid-19 vaccines, boosters and other important immunisations. There are many vaccination opportunities in our rohe, so please contact your iwi provider, GP and local pharmacies.
