JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has promised to ensure timely maintenance and clearance of backlog of TRM tasks at its employee quarters, following concerns raised during an online session with the management.
Rituraj Sinha, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL, confirmed the agreements with the union to create new TRM jobs.
“We will systematically assess and address the outstanding tasks,” Sinha said, responding to the issues raised by LD 3 officer Raghunandan Paswan.
This commitment follows directives from Tata Steel MD TV Narendran to address concerns over employee housing.
WRM employee Arvind Tiwari raised safety concerns regarding the openings between toilets and spaces in L-6.
Government representative Pranay Sinha assured that measures are being taken to plug these gaps in the newer neighbourhoods.
“We are also considering similar requests for senior residences,” Pranay Sinha added, addressing employee concerns about safety.
The session also discussed possible sponsorship of talents by the company. The CEO suggested further talks with the union.
