About Nintendo Switch Online Nintendo Switch Online is a subscription service that provides access to online multiplayer, cloud saves, and a library of classic games from the NES, SNES, N64, and Sega Genesis. The service costs $19.99 per year or $34.99 per year for the expansion pack, which includes access to additional classic games and DLC. Why Nintendo Switch Online is Affordable Compared to competing subscription services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch Online is much more affordable. PlayStation Plus and Game Pass both cost around $60 per year, while Nintendo Switch Online costs just $20 per year. This makes it a great value for gamers who want to play classic games online and save their progress in the cloud.

Nintendo Switch Online has been quietly updated with six new games that subscribers can now play for free.

Compared to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch Online is by far the most affordable gaming subscription service available.

An annual subscription costs just £17.99 for a basic subscription, or £34.99 for the more expensive + expansion pack option.

A year of PlayStation Plus or Game Pass can cost you a three-figure sum.

Yes, Nintendo Switch Online doesn’t offer access to new releases, but it’s perfect for those of us who like to relive our favorites from the past.

The latest additions are all in the NES library, which is available to standard Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, so I’ll be diving right into the lineup.

IN CASE OF: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on September 26 for the Nintendo Switch.

First up is the one from 1984 Urban Championa 1v1 fighting game where the player tries to push his opponent into a sewer.

It’s a relatively simple premise, but the time limit is 99 seconds and you only have 200 health points, so be wise with your punches.

1985s golf has also been added, just like the one from 1985 Mach driver.

golf is, you guessed it, a golf simulator and was the best-selling sports game on the original NES.

Fun fact: A Nintendo gameplay manual once confirmed that the golfer is Mario, which is why the famous Italian plumber appears on the cover of some editions of the game.

Mach driver is a vehicle combat racing game where players, yes, race to the finish line. There’s not much more to this game.

1983s Donkey Kong Junior Mathematics has a familiar face, but it’s not exactly the most exciting installment in the Donkey Kong franchise.

In this educational platform game, players attempt to reach Donkey Kong, who is holding up a number. They do this by platforming to the numbers that form an equation equal to Donkey Kong’s answer.

Unsurprisingly, the game didn’t sell well.

1989s Cobra Triangle and 1990s Solar Jetman round us off.

Cobra Triangle is another racer, although this time we’re talking about boats instead of land vehicles, while Solar Jetman is a multi-directional shooter in which players take on the role of space explorer Jetman.

All games are now available.
