TIME.CO, Jakarta – International Driving license or international driving permit is covered by the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of 1968. Currently 92 countries have signed the convention. In this way dozens of countries recognize international driving licenses from Indonesia.

Requirements for International Driving Permits
To obtain an International Driving Permit, you must meet a number of requirements, including:
– Last photo of yourself with the following conditions: (the photo shows 2 top buttons of your shirt, the background color must be white, do not wear a white shirt and/or hijab, no glasses, face towards the camera, no contact lenses, the photo cannot be black and white, no teeth visible)
– ID CARD
– KITAP (for foreigners only)
– Valid passport
– Valid driving license (according to the international driving license class applied for)
– Your signature written in black ink on a white paper
– Valid International Driving Permit (renewal only).
How to make an International Driving Permit?
The process of applying for an International Driving Permit can usually be done at the local traffic police office or by visiting the site siminternasional.korlantas.polri.go.id.
– Open the siminternasional.korlantas.polri.go.id page in your browser
– Register according to the procedures and requirements on the site.
– Fill in the online registration form and upload soft copies of your photo, signature, driver’s license, KTP, KITAP (for foreigners only) and passport
– Choose how you want to collect/deliver the International Driving Permit booklet
– Fill in the Refund Account Data. If the applicant’s details do not match, the PNBP fee will be refunded
– Applicants will receive a virtual account number on the website and a payment confirmation by email. Pay immediately according to the stated nominal amount
– After the payment is made, the applicant will receive a registration number in the email with the proof of registration.
Production costs
– The cost of making a new International Driving Permit is Rp250,000.
– The cost of applying for an extended International Driving Permit is Rp225,000.
