Lucy Letby: Murderous Nurse Sentenced to New Life SentenceLucy Letby: Murderous Nurse Sentenced to New Life Sentence Lucy Letby, the notorious nurse convicted of killing seven babies and attempting to murder six others, has received another life sentence for the attempted murder of a premature infant known as Child K. The 34-year-old was found guilty by a jury after a review of her previous trial. She had been charged with moving Child K’s breathing tube, but the jury had not reached a verdict at the time. The prosecution presented evidence that Letby had “almost been caught red-handed” when a doctor entered the room and found her tampering with the tube. Despite the baby regaining consciousness, the tube was moved twice more that night, allegedly in an attempt by Letby to make it appear as though the infant had moved it herself. Child K, born at 25 weeks gestation, was transferred to a specialized neonatal unit but sadly passed away three days later. It is not believed that Letby’s actions directly caused her death. The sentence adds to Letby’s previous 14 whole life orders. A public inquiry into the events at the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit, where the crimes occurred, is set to begin hearing evidence in September. This ongoing news story continues to garner attention and will be updated with more details as they become available. For the latest information, check Sky News, X, or YouTube.

Murderous nurse Lucy Letby has been sentenced to life imprisonment again for the attempted murder of an extremely premature baby.

The 34-year-old was found guilty by a jury earlier this week following a review of the trial at Manchester Crown Court.

She is already serving 14 whole life orders after being convicted last year for the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

However, the jury in her original trial could not reach a verdict on charges that she also tried to kill a premature baby, known as Child K, in February 2016.

During the review process, the Public Prosecution Service said Letby had moved the baby’s breathing tube and was caught “almost red-handed” when a doctor entered the room.

After the baby regained consciousness, her tube was moved two more times that night, the prosecution said. According to them, Letby had tried to make it look like the baby had moved the tube on her own.
