A massive search and rescue operation was launched, involving divers and a large police force. Three of the missing children were later found deceased, while the fourth was found in critical condition. Despite being rushed to a hospital, the injured child succumbed to their injuries. ACP Sukanya Sharma, who led the investigation, reported that the pond was utilized for rainwater harvesting. The Agra police have initiated legal proceedings in connection with the incident.
