Sri Kashi Annapurna Anna Prasadam of Karimnagar under the aegis of Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Seva Samiti has been feeding the hungry for about eight years. It also provides three meals a day to patients and caregivers in the government hospital.

Organizer Konda Satyanandam shared that with the help of donors, food provisions have been provided to the patients as well as to the family members who stay behind as attendants and others. According to him, they have been able to collect donations of Rs 2,500 per day from friends and donors who want to feed the hungry people.

Speaking to Local18, Konda Satyanandam recalled an incident from his past when he had to take his ailing father to Hyderabad. But they faced difficulties as there was no food available in the hospital. He said that he didn’t want anyone else to face a similar situation and decided to provide free meals to patients and caregivers every day.

With his initiative and the help of thoughtful donors, the team has been able to feed many people. The free meal program has been a blessing to the patients in the hospital and their families for the past eight years. He urged others to come forward and contribute so that they can expand the free meal program to other places besides the hospital. According to Konda, they have served breakfast and other meals to about 200 to 300 people.
