Hometown Heroes: Ta Ta for Now Empowers Young GirlsHometown Heroes: Ta Ta for Now Empowers Young Girls Jessie Baxter and Holly Milsom, two experienced footballers, are dedicated to giving underserved young girls the confidence they deserve. Recognizing the disparity in support for female athletes, they founded Ta Ta for Now, a nonprofit that provides essential necessities like bras, underwear, and feminine hygiene products. Since its inception in high school, Ta Ta for Now has impacted over a thousand girls in need. With the help of local organizations, they distribute items confidentially to maintain dignity. Their impact extends globally, reaching countries such as Ukraine, Turkey, and Kenya. Entering their senior year, Baxter and Milsom aspire to expand Ta Ta for Now to more schools across the US and internationally. For the upcoming school year, they are organizing events to distribute supplies to teenage girls. Through their efforts, Ta Ta for Now not only addresses a basic need but empowers girls to thrive in all aspects of their lives. Their unwavering commitment to fostering confidence and ensuring every girl has the support she deserves makes them true hometown heroes.

This week’s Hometown Heroes are committed to helping young girls who are less fortunate than them find the confidence they need to succeed in school, on the playing field, and in their personal lives.

As experienced footballers, Jessie Baxter and Holly Milsom know first-hand how important it is to have the right underwear.

When they traveled to underserved communities to play, they quickly noticed that not every girl received as much support.

The two high school students were inspired to start their own nonprofit organization, Ta Ta for Now, in their sophomore year to help female athletes access basic necessities that others take for granted.

“We just want girls to grow in confidence through what we do, in the classroom, in sports and in everyday life,” Holly said.

The organization collects and distributes new bras, underwear and feminine hygiene products in a confidential manner, so that no one feels ashamed to ask for help.

In just over two years, they have helped over a thousand young girls in need.

“With everything going on right now, it’s really nice to know that with something small we can help a girl we don’t even know,” Jessie admitted.

Ta Ta for Now is currently working with several organizations in Palm Beach County to ensure these items reach the people who need them most.

And their reach extends far beyond the corners of their community… to 7 countries including Ukraine, Turkey and Kenya.

The girls are now entering their senior year at Jupiter Community High School and hope to continue growing the organization and expanding to other schools across the US and even more countries.

They are currently preparing for a school year start event, going to four different locations in the region to drop off bras and underwear for all the teenage girls who come here to pick up their supplies.
