Singh was admitted to the private ward of the hospital on Thursday after experiencing increased back pain. He underwent treatment under the supervision of a neurosurgeon, including all necessary tests. Despite the pain, Singh had reportedly been continuing his work, but the increased discomfort necessitated his hospitalization. Singh is a senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has served as the Defence Minister in the current government. He has also held the positions of BJP President and Home Minister. Prior to that, he was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and a minister in the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
