He threw 38 pitches, with 23 strikes. After undergoing shoulder surgery in the offseason, Kershaw made his first rehab start at Rancho Cucamonga on June 19. Despite striking out five batters, he felt soreness in his shoulder and subsequently resumed his assignment in OKC. Kershaw, a 10-time MLB All-Star, has had a successful season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, accumulating a 13-5 record and a 2.46 ERA in 24 starts. The left-handed pitcher is a three-time Cy Young Award winner and the 2014 National League MVP. With Saturday’s performance, Kershaw continues to demonstrate his recovery and readiness to return to the Dodgers’ starting rotation.

The 2020 World Series champion was making his fourth appearance ever with OKC. Kershaw also made rehab starts in 2017, 2019 and 2021. This is his 17th season with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

After undergoing shoulder surgery in the offseason and starting the year on a 60-man injury list, Kershaw made his first rehab assignment at Rancho Cucamonga on June 19. He struck out five and allowed one run, one walk and two hits in three innings. Kershaw felt a sore shoulder after the road game, underwent an MRI and resumed his assignment at OKC.

On Saturday, the 10-time MLB All-Star struck out five and allowed no runs, one walk and no hits in three innings. He threw 38 pitches, 23 of which were strikes.

During the 2023 season, Kershaw made 24 starts with the Dodgers, compiling a 13-5 record with a 2.46 ERA over 131.2 innings pitched. The left-handed pitcher is a three-time Cy Young Award winner and 2014 league MVP.
