The events included live entertainment, a comedy show, a quiz night, the Rat Pack Show, and the 25th Anniversary Gala. Local dignitaries, including Palm Beach Gardens Mayor Chelsea Reed, Vice Mayor Dana Middleton, and Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Maria Marino, attended the gala. “The excitement here was palpable,” said Executive Director Brad Andrus. “We had a lineup of fantastic events planned for the entire week.” While Devonshire has undergone many changes over the past 25 years, one thing has remained constant: the vibrant and caring atmosphere. “What strikes me – and everyone who has visited Devonshire – the most is how involved, friendly, and welcoming the people who call Devonshire home are,” Andrus says. “For more than two decades, community members have founded countless clubs and activities, amazed us with their talents in concerts, plays, and art galleries, and volunteered generously for our local community. That’s what makes Devonshire very special.” In recent years, Erickson Senior Living has made a multimillion-dollar investment in Devonshire, adding enhanced amenities and services. The community’s clubhouse is currently undergoing renovations, including a new lounge area, updated entrances to all five of the community’s restaurants, and redesigned sales and marketing offices. “We are working hard to update our buildings and facilities to meet the needs of current and future community members,” Andrus explains. “Their feedback guides our projects.” New health and fitness options are also being added this year, including a golf simulator, indoor pickleball, a croquet and putting green, and fitness classes. “We’re also introducing a new IT Tech Bar, designed to help community members with all of their electronic devices,” he says. “Our lecture series with Florida Atlantic University has been very popular, so we look forward to offering even more presentations in 2024.” “The community members were really looking forward to the 25th anniversary gala and the visiting entertainment from all over Palm Beach Gardens,” he added. “These events created opportunities to reflect on the past and look forward to the years to come.”
