Charter of the Committee
The Adelaide United Member Representative Group (MRG) was established to strengthen the relationship between the club, its loyal fans and the Australian Professional Leagues (APL).
Each A-League club has embraced this concept with a clear vision in mind, ensuring that the voices of members and supporters are heard and that different perspectives and issues are heard loud and clear by both club and league management.
Regular communication ensures that important feedback from key stakeholders, the fans, which is often lacking, is presented with authority and regularity when strategic and operational decisions are discussed at all levels.
The club’s MRG was appointed through an expressions of interest process, with the selection representing a diverse range of perspectives within the fanbase. Regular meetings are held with the club, the MRG Chair, who was selected on merit and expertise, and who takes questions, concerns and feedback to meetings with the APL and chairmen of other clubs.
Adelaide United MRG Chairman Joe Aylward said the establishment of the MRG was an important step forward in improving communication between members, fans and the football club.
“Our group is a reflection of the membership base. We have people who have been here since day 1, the Red Army, a journalist, people whose whole families are here, and people with disabilities. We are a volunteer group and maintain complete independence from the club.
Every member has the right to be heard. Our goal at MRG is to bring the voice of the members to the Club and to the APL on all aspects that affect our members. The Club is committed to listening to these voices and working with us to continue to improve the relationship between the Club and its members.”
In the coming weeks we will work with the club to launch a survey of members and fans and set up a mechanism to provide feedback to the MRG regarding the bribes.
In the meantime, if you have an issue that you would like the MRG to address with the club, please contact us at [email protected]. Please note that all enquiries are sent directly to the MRG and will not be filtered through the club. The MRG will not tolerate abusive submissions and any enquiries regarding on-field matters will not be answered.
