The Ministry of Labour (MoL) hosted an awareness workshop for delivery riders in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Qatar Red Crescent. Representatives from MoL, the Ministry of Health, and Qatar Red Crescent Society provided guidance on using MoL’s e-services and emphasized the significance of traffic rules and safe driving. Riders received answers to their inquiries and training on heat stress prevention and basic first aid techniques. This workshop is part of MoL’s ‘Towards a Safe Work Environment’ campaign, which promotes awareness about workplace injury prevention, occupational safety, and health standards, and road safety improvement.

DOHA: The Ministry of Labour (MoL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Qatar Red Crescent, today organised an awareness workshop for delivery motorcycle riders. The aim was to introduce them to the Ministry’s e-services, raise awareness on workplace injuries and heat stress, and increase their road safety awareness.

The workshop is part of the Ministry of Labor’s efforts, in collaboration with partners, to raise awareness among delivery workers about the need to adhere to safe driving guidelines and rules, use the correct lane and follow necessary rules to prevent occupational accidents and heat-related illnesses.

During the session, representatives from the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Health and the Qatar Red Crescent Society taught the employees how to use the e-services of the Ministry of Labor. They also highlighted the new services launched by the ministry and stressed the importance of following traffic rules and driving safely on all types of roads.

Drivers also got answers to their questions and learned about preventing heat stress risks and proper first aid techniques for injuries at work and at home. The course is one of several awareness seminars and workshops organized by the Ministry of Labor as part of the ‘Towards a Safe Work Environment’ campaign. The aim is to raise awareness among workers about preventing injuries at work, meeting occupational safety and health standards and improving road safety in the country.
