The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club is proud to announce the newest inductees into the SaskTel Plaza of Honor. The Class of 2024 includes:

Players:

Matt Dunigan (Quarterback):

A three-time Grey Cup Champion with the Riders, Dunigan is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in CFL history. *

Warren Moon (Quarterback):

Another Hall of Fame quarterback, Moon helped lead the Riders to their first Grey Cup victory in 1989. *

Eddie Murray (Running Back):

A punishing runner, Murray is the Roughriders’ all-time leading rusher.

Ron Lancaster (Coach):

Under Lancaster’s leadership, the Riders won three consecutive Grey Cups from 1989-1991. *

George Reed (Executive):

A longtime executive with the Riders, Reed helped build the team into a perennial contender.

2024 SaskTel Plaza of Honor Class Announced

Regina, Saskatchewan – March 8, 2023

The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club is pleased to announce the induction of four individuals into the 2024 SaskTel Plaza of Honor class.

Dave Ridgeway:

A three-time Grey Cup champion and eight-time CFL All-Star, Ridgeway was a dominant defensive tackle for the Roughriders from 1989 to 1996. He holds the team record for the highest average tackles per game (8.4) and is widely regarded as one of the best defensive players in Riders history.

Bob Cameron:

A highly skilled and versatile offensive lineman, Cameron played for the Roughriders from 1982 to 1992. He was a key member of the team’s Grey Cup victory in 1989 and earned CFL All-Star honors twice during his career.

Dan Farthing:

A record-setting receiver, Farthing played for the Roughriders from 1963 to 1970. He set the all-time team records for receiving touchdowns (52) and receiving yards (6,599), which stood for over 40 years.

John Farlinger:

An exceptional running back and return specialist, Farlinger played for the Roughriders from 1966 to 1971. During his time in Saskatchewan, he rushed for over 4,000 yards and scored 28 touchdowns. The four inductees will be honored at a ceremony at Mosaic Stadium on August 30, 2024, during the Roughriders’ home game against the Edmonton Elks. “These four individuals played a significant role in shaping the rich history of the Saskatchewan Roughriders,” said Roughriders President and CEO Craig Reynolds. “Their dedication, passion, and contributions to the team and the sport of football are worthy of the highest recognition.” The SaskTel Plaza of Honor was established in 1985 and currently includes 132 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Roughriders organization.
