She purchased her own home in Dublin in October 2022 and has since been diligently renovating it. Kitchen and Garden Makeover Garrihy’s kitchen underwent a significant transformation. Previously outdated, she extended the ground floor to accommodate a new utility room and bathroom. Her kitchen now boasts a spacious and modern design. The backyard also received a complete overhaul. Garrihy created a blank canvas by removing existing structures and adding new features such as a patio, lawn, and plants. Her dog, Bertie, is delighted with the new outdoor space. ‘DIY Era’ for Garden Garrihy embraced the “DIY era” for her garden. She painted the walls, installed furniture, and planted greenery, transforming it into a serene and inviting space. Fans and Friends Rave Garrihy’s friends and fans applauded her renovation efforts. Glenda Gilson called it “Great job!”, while Maia Dunphy exclaimed, “Oh Doireann, it’s AMAZING!!”. Happiness in New Home Nearly two years after purchasing the home, Garrihy couldn’t be more content. She feels incredible gratitude for the architects who designed the kitchen extension and brought her vision to life. She is thrilled with the transformation and considers it her dream home.

Doireann, 31, and her fiancé Mark Mehigan moved into the fixer-upper near Castleknock just before Christmas.
The Irish presenter posts updates on her home renovation, transforming every room.
Today she shared the complete process of her kitchen and garden transformation on Instagram.
Doireann explained that “very little had been done to the kitchen or garden since the 1970s and 80s”.

The radio star wanted to add a utility room and bathroom on the ground floor and therefore needed a ground floor extension.
The Dublin beauty showed off images of her home and said: “From start to finish I was so bad at visualising – I could never imagine what it would look like.”
Doireann then turned the screen to a photo of the huge space built onto her house and said: “And then this happened.
“What architects can do is astounding to me. And what mine have done, I am eternally grateful for.”

Doireann had her backyard completely renovated and her dog was very happy with it.
She said, “I wanted a blank canvas for the garden so I could see how much space we had and look at that.
“After living in Mark’s apartment for six months, Bertie couldn’t believe his eyes and couldn’t wait to get out.”
Doireann added a clip of herself and Mark embracing and expressing their excitement when the kitchen was finally finished.
She explains: “Then it really started to take shape in the kitchen and I couldn’t wait for it to be ready.
“We started painting and when Christmas Eve came around we were finally able to have guests… hence the excitement here.
‘DIY ERA’
“I’ll say it again: Not even in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that this would be the final product. I was just so happy.”
Doireann decided to get her garden into tip-top condition when spring arrived and she entered the ‘DIY era’.
The side walls are painted cream and the back walls are painted green.
Doireann bought her garden furniture and plants from TJ O’Mahony, as well as building and garden materials.
Nearly two years after Doireann first saw her home, she “couldn’t be happier” there.

Doireann’s friends and fans loved her video and sent her compliments in the comments.
