LAWRENCE, MASS. (WHDH) – A 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after a shooting in Lawrence, police said.
According to Lawrence police, officers responded to the scene after shots were fired on Howard Street.
They found a 16-year-old boy with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Emergency responders treated him at the scene and then took him to Lawrence General Hospital.
Police said that “based on the information obtained so far, this does not appear to be a random act of violence.”
SKY7-HD saw a fire truck and emergency workers assess the situation.
The incident is still under investigation.
