The inflatable arch, measuring 192 feet tall and 630 feet wide, is the largest of its kind in the world. It is made of durable PVC material and is tethered to the ground with cables. Visitors to the inflatable arch can walk through its towering legs and experience a multi-sensory exhibition about St. Louis’s history, culture, and architecture. The exhibition features interactive displays, video projections, and immersive soundscapes. “This inflatable arch is a testament to the innovative spirit of St. Louis,” said Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. “It offers a new and exciting way for visitors to connect with our city and its iconic landmark.” The inflatable arch is located in the shadow of the actual Gateway Arch and is open to the public during the day and evening. Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the site. “We believe that the inflatable arch will be a major draw for tourists,” said Jason Hall, president of the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission. “It is a fun and educational way to experience the Gateway Arch and learn about the rich history of St. Louis.” The inflatable arch is part of a larger effort by the city to enhance the visitor experience at the Gateway Arch. Other improvements include a new museum at the base of the arch and a renovated observation deck. “The Gateway Arch is a symbol of our city and a must-see for any visitor,” said Pam Carter, executive director of the National Park Service’s Gateway Arch National Park. “The inflatable arch is a great addition to the park and will provide a truly unique experience for our guests.”
