The $200 million expansion will include the following enhancements: * Extended pedestrian mall: The 5-block pedestrian mall will be extended by one block to the east, creating a wider and more spacious area for pedestrians. * New canopy: A state-of-the-art LED canopy will be installed over the extended mall, providing an immersive sensory experience with stunning visuals and sound. * Additional digital signage: Giant digital screens will be added throughout the mall, providing an unparalleled platform for advertising, art installations, and live events. * Enhanced lighting: The pedestrian mall will be illuminated with new and improved lighting, creating a brighter and safer environment. * Improved seating and amenities: Additional seating, shaded areas, and public restrooms will be added to enhance the comfort and convenience of visitors. “The Fremont Street Experience is a beloved attraction that embodies the spirit of Las Vegas,” said Mayor Carolyn Goodman. “This expansion will elevate the experience to new heights, making it even more immersive, technologically advanced, and enjoyable for locals and visitors alike.” The expansion project is expected to be completed in phases, with the first phase set to begin in the summer of 2023.
