Planned for the sprawling 54-acre Heritage Park, the maze will be an otherworldly wonderland filled with towering inflatable mushrooms in vibrant colors and sizes. Visitors can lose themselves in the labyrinth, navigating through tunnels and under canopies, discovering hidden surprises along the way. The giant mushrooms will range in height from 15 to 25 feet, creating a surreal and awe-inspiring atmosphere. The maze is designed to encourage exploration, imagination, and play. “We wanted to create something truly special and unforgettable for our community,” said Parks and Recreation Director Lisa Runde. “The Mushroom Maze will be a place where families and friends can bond, create memories, and escape the everyday.” The maze is also expected to be a popular destination for photo ops, with its vibrant colors and whimsical shapes providing countless opportunities for Instagram-worthy moments. Construction on the Mushroom Maze is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2024, with an estimated completion date in the fall of the same year. The park will be open to the public free of charge. Mayor Jeff Cheney expressed his excitement about the upcoming addition to Frisco’s park system. “This maze will be a wonderful asset to our city and will undoubtedly bring joy to countless visitors,” he said.
