“Real Time” host Bill Maher was much more concerned on Friday night after predicting with certainty that Vice President Kamala Harris would win the 2024 election.
“Democrats must stop thinking that an October surprise will save us from another Trump term,” Maher began his monologue. “Trump’s superpower as a candidate is that he has been so consistently and pervasively terrible for so long that it just doesn’t show anymore… If you’re waiting for the October surprise to knock him out, keep dreaming. “This is Kamala’s big dilemma,” Maher continued later. “Trump is immune to the October surprise, but she is very vulnerable because it is still undefined. Maher criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for repeatedly deflecting tough questions from Fox News’ Bret Baier and asking “Trump is worse.”
Maher then addressed Harris’ appearance on “The View,” where she stated that “I can’t think of a single thing” she would do differently during a Biden presidency.
He called this response “no bueno.”
“Early is getting late and we cannot afford any more bad answers like last week,” Maher said. “Next time maybe try, ‘Joe Biden did well overall, but of course I wish we had tightened the border earlier like we did now, and believe me, I’ve learned my lesson and it will never happen.’

He then made a direct appeal to the Democratic candidate.
