SRINAGAR, JUNE 24: As a significant achievement and in order to cater to patient needs, SMHS Hospital Srinagar has been providing consultation and other patient care services to around 3000 persons on OPD and Casualty on an average daily basis. On the OPD side, around 500 samples are evaluated and 6000 tests are conducted every day. In addition, tests are also carried out on the IPD side.
The hospital has been providing round the clock laboratory services to IPD, OPD and patients visiting Casualty. Some parts of the special hospital laboratory (block F) operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a half-hour break, which the staff hardly uses due to the large influx of patients.
