CHS Class of 2024 Academic Excellence Celebrated
Congratulations to the remarkable Class of 2024 at Cranston High School (CHS), whose academic achievements have culminated in the selection of Gabe Langevin as Valedictorian and Andreana Frangos and Cate Gregory as Co-Salutatorians.
Valedictorian: Gabe Langevin
Gabe Langevin has maintained an extraordinary academic record throughout his high school journey, achieving the highest grade point average (GPA) in his class. His intellectual curiosity and passion for learning have been evident in his exceptional performance in advanced courses such as Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes. Gabe’s unwavering determination and consistent dedication have earned him numerous accolades, including the National Merit Scholarship and membership in the National Honor Society.
Co-Salutatorians: Andreana Frangos and Cate Gregory
Andreana Frangos and Cate Gregory have also exhibited outstanding academic excellence. Andreana has excelled in her academic pursuits, consistently earning top marks in her courses. Her exceptional writing skills and deep understanding of various subjects have been recognized through her success in National Writing competitions and the AP Scholar with Distinction award. Cate Gregory has distinguished herself as a brilliant and inquisitive student. Her ability to analyze complex concepts and her passion for exploration have led her to excel in science and mathematics. Cate is an active participant in science fairs and has received recognition for her research projects. These exceptional students have not only achieved academic success but have also demonstrated remarkable character and involvement in the CHS community. Gabe Langevin has been an exemplary leader, serving as President of the National Honor Society and participating in Model United Nations. Andreana Frangos has made significant contributions to the school newspaper and literary magazine, sharing her writing with the CHS community. Cate Gregory has excelled in athletics, earning varsity letters in multiple sports. Their academic prowess, commitment to excellence, and involvement in extracurricular activities have made Gabe Langevin, Andreana Frangos, and Cate Gregory an inspiration to their peers and a source of pride for Cranston High School. Langevin, who has a GPA of 4.35, plans to attend MIT in the fall to study computer science. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and the Math Team. He is also the captain of the Academic Decathlon Team. Frangos, who has a GPA of 4.33, plans to attend Harvard University in the fall to study pre-med. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society. She is also a member of the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams. Gregory, who has a GPA of 4.32, plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall to study engineering. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and the Math Team. She is also the captain of the robotics team. All three students have been recognized for their academic achievements. Langevin was named a National Merit Scholar, and Frangos and Gregory were named National Hispanic Scholars. Langevin, Frangos, and Gregory are all well-rounded students who have excelled in both academics and extracurricular activities. They are a credit to CHS and we are proud to have them represent our school as valedictorian and co-salutatorians.
