The incident occurred on June 15 at 48 Pinnacle Rd in Ellington. Security camera footage captured the theft. A white mid-size SUV pulled up within minutes of a FedEx delivery of iPhones. The suspect emerged from the vehicle, resembling a Hispanic male with braided hair and a blue surgical mask. Wearing an Amazon vest and carrying an empty box, the suspect approached the porch and pretended to deliver the box. However, he quickly snatched the iPhones and fled in the SUV. WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – State Police are looking for help identifying a man who disguised himself as an Amazon delivery driver to steal delivered packages.
The theft was captured on security camera in Ellington on June 15. Fed Ex dropped off three iPhones at 48 Pinnacle Rd and within two minutes the suspect pulled up in a white mid-size SUV.
The suspect exited the vehicle and appears to be a Hispanic male with braided hair, wearing black pants, a black hoodie, brown shoes, an Amazon vest and a blue surgical mask over his face.
As he approached the home, the suspect was carrying an empty box and a cell phone. He pretended to deliver the empty box and grabbed the iPhones from the porch. He then ran to the white SUV and drove south on Pinnacle Road.
