From now until July 19, the clinic is accepting donations of backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials at its walk-in center in Fort Myers. Donations can be dropped off or mailed in. The first back-to-school event will take place on July 27 at Mount Hermon Church in the Dunbar neighborhood. In addition to the free screenings and backpack giveaways, the church’s community festival will feature various activities and entertainment. On August 3, Premier’s mobile clinic will visit Pine Manor Community Center for another event. Backpacks and free health screenings, including school physicals, will be provided. Summer vacation is in full swing, but a mobile health clinic that provides essential medical care to those in need in Lee County is once again participating in a back-to-school backpack sale, featuring free school screenings for local students.

From now through Friday, July 19, Premier Mobile Health Services is collecting donations of backpacks, binders, pens, pencils, flash drives and other essential school supplies at its walk-in clinic, 10676 Colonial Blvd., Suite 20, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Donations can be dropped off at the clinic during regular business hours or mailed in.

The first back-to-school event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Mount Hermon Church, 2856 Douglas Ave., Fort Myers, FL 33916 in the city’s Dunbar neighborhood. In addition to the free school screenings and backpack giveaways, the church’s 2024 Community Fun Day Festival will feature a water play zone, petting zoo, bounce house and other activities, along with a concert, comedy show and DJ.

On Saturday, August 3rd, from 10am-12pm, Premier will be taking its mobile health clinic on wheels to Pine Manor Community Center for its back-to-school event. Premier will be handing out free backpacks and providing free medical screenings and school physicals. The community center is located at 5547 Tenth Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33907.

“Our goal is to fill 500 backpacks to support low-income families from underserved communities,” said Dr. Nadine “Deanie” Singh, founder and CEO of Premier Mobile Health Services. “Almost two years after Hurricane Ian devastated our community, far too many families here are struggling to provide their children with the essential supplies they need to succeed in school.”

Founded in 2018 by Singh, Premier Mobile Health Services offers a range of services to low-income children, families, individuals, and the uninsured, including preventive screenings, vaccinations, nutritional counseling, school assessments, and more.

Patients without insurance and those who can demonstrate that their income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty line, which make up two-thirds of the population, receive free care. Others who need help pay on a sliding scale based on their income.
