The Tesla driver attempted to warn the Audi driver by honking their horn, but the vehicle continued on its dangerous path. According to reports, the Audi was traveling east on the M4 near Heston, a few miles from Heathrow Airport. The incident sparked outrage on social media, with many criticizing the driver’s recklessness. Driving the wrong way on a motorway is a serious offense and can result in prosecution under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment. Tragically, previous incidents of wrong-way driving have resulted in fatalities. In March, a man was killed in a head-on collision in West Yorkshire after driving the wrong way on the M62. In February, a stolen van driven by Barancan Nurcin crashed into a car on the M25 while driving on the wrong side, resulting in two deaths. Nurcin was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his actions, believed to be the longest sentence for death by dangerous driving in the UK. Members of the public are urged to report any incidents of wrong-way driving to the police immediately.

A dangerous driver was spotted on the hard shoulder of a London motorway – on the wrong side of the road.
The driver of a white Audi caused panic on the M4 after driving the wrong way on the main road near Heston in Hounslow.
A video shows the Audi A3 suddenly appearing on the highway at around 9:18 p.m. on Friday, June 27.
The illegal movement was caught on camera by a passenger in an oncoming Tesla. The driver fortunately saw the car in time and was able to maneuver into the left lane.
The Tesla driver attempts to warn the driver by honking the horn, but the vehicle appears to continue driving.

The car was reportedly travelling east on the M4, near Heston, a few miles from Heathrow Airport.
Many people on social media strongly criticized the “idiotic” driver after Need To Know reported on the incident.
Lee Friend wrote: ‘Yes, Audi driver’, while Vik Sing added: ‘What an idiot.’
Another said: ‘It’s great if it gets noticed. But no one goes to the emergency line.’

A criminal offense
Drivers who drive the wrong way on the motorway can be prosecuted for reckless driving under Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment.
Sadly, some motorists have already died because they drove the wrong way.
On March 23, a man was killed in a head-on collision in West Yorkshire after driving the wrong way on the M62.
And in February, Barancan Nurcin, 22, crashed a stolen van into the car of Zoe Hawes and her husband while driving on the wrong side of the M25, moments after police had called off a chase.

Zoe Hawes, 39, and Nurcin’s passenger, Fahad Dek, 23, died in the collision. Zoe was on her way to Luton Airport to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Nurcin managed to escape, leaving behind his friend Dek, who died in the passenger seat.
Nurcin was sentenced to 18 years in prison on June 21 after pleading guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and other charges relating to having no driving licence and no insurance.
It is believed to be the longest sentence that can be imposed in the UK for death by dangerous driving.
