City police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in downtown Barrie this afternoon that left one driver forced to leave the scene.
On July 4 at 12:23 p.m., police received a report of two SUVs and a scooter in the area of Caroline and Innisfil streets.
According to Peter Leon, communications coordinator for the Barrie Police Department, an SUV collided with the other vehicles and hit the scene of the accident.
Because the investigation is still in its early stages, there has been no word yet on charges.
The driver of the scooter was examined by ambulance personnel and taken to the local hospital.
