Incoming Freshmen Army Football Team Arrives on CampusIncoming Freshmen Army Football Team Arrives on Campus West Point, N.Y. – The United States Military Academy at West Point welcomed its newest crop of football players to campus this week, as the incoming freshmen reported for their first day of training. This year’s class of freshmen features a talented group of athletes from across the country, including: * Three-star recruit and quarterback Braxton Harris from Baltimore, Maryland * Four-star safety and wide receiver Jordan Dalton from Houston, Texas * Offensive tackle and two-time state champion Jonah Livingston from San Diego, California * Defensive end and All-American selection Justin Woodley from Birmingham, Alabama The freshmen will join a West Point team that is coming off a successful 2021 season, finishing with an 8-3 record and a West Point Bowl berth. “This is an exciting time for our program,” said Army head coach Jeff Monken. “We have a great group of young men who have a lot of potential. We’re looking forward to getting them on the field and seeing what they can do.” The freshmen will begin their training immediately, with a focus on strength and conditioning, as well as learning the Army football playbook. They will also participate in team workouts and practices, alongside the returning players. The incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the team, with several positions expected to be open for competition. “We’re always looking for talented players who can contribute to our program,” said Monken. “We’re confident that these freshmen have the ability to do that.” The Army football team will open its 2022 season on September 3, when they host Villanova at Michie Stadium.
