According to police, the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when a child walking on the sidewalk was hit by a passing vehicle. The child was immediately taken to nearby Morton Hospital for treatment. Due to the severity of their injuries, the child was subsequently airlifted to a Boston-area hospital for further medical attention. Their current condition is unknown.
