Leading independent music distributor GYROstream is seeking a proactive and strategic Events and Partnership Manager to join our team. This role will be pivotal in creating and managing brand partnership opportunities for our artists and orchestrating successful GYROstream and GROUP SPEED events. Based in Sydney, the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies that strengthen our brands and create valuable opportunities for our artists and partners.

The role requires an exceptional project manager. A confident, enthusiastic and results-driven individual who thrives on getting the details right through good processes. You will be responsible for overseeing release campaigns, festival and event campaigns, working with artists and management, whilst managing external relationships with media, brands and creative teams.

POSITION GOALS

Develop and secure strategic partnerships:

  • Identify and establish brand partnerships that increase the visibility and market position of GYROstream, GROUP SPEED and associated artists, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.

Plan and execute successful events:

  • Organize and manage high-quality events for GYROstream and GROUP SPEED, ensuring they meet corporate objectives, run smoothly and provide memorable experiences for attendees.

Improve your brand visibility through promotions:

  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement effective event and partnership promotion strategies, maximizing reach and engagement across platforms.

Achieving financial and performance goals:

  • Efficiently manage event and partnership budgets, ensure financial goals are met while delivering a high return on investment (ROI), and use performance data to continually improve future initiatives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and secure brand partnership opportunities for artists.
  • Develop strategic partnerships for GYROstream and GROUP SPEED events.
  • Negotiating and managing partnership agreements and maintaining strong relationships with partners.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute events for GYROstream and GROUP SPEED from concept to completion.
  • Manage event logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, and event schedule coordination.
  • Ensure that all events run smoothly, that attendees have an unforgettable experience and that business goals are achieved.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop event promotion strategies and partnerships.
  • Create engaging content and promotional materials to promote events and partnerships across platforms.
  • Leverage social media and other digital channels to maximize your event’s visibility and attendance.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, artist relations, and external stakeholders, to align event and partnership goals with overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, partners and industry professionals.
  • Develop and manage budgets for events and partnerships and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Monitor expenses and negotiate contracts to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Track and analyze event and partnership performance, providing regular reports on results and ROI.
  • Use feedback and performance data to improve future events and partnership strategies.
  • Provide creative ideas and strategic insights to enhance events and partnerships.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into your event and partnership strategies.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in event planning, partnership development and project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the music industry and the dynamics of brand partnerships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Creative thinker with a nose for developing exciting and strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media.
  • Experience in budget management and financial planning for events.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • A trendsetter, preferably with a passion for the music industry.
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside standard office hours if required.
