Krispy Kreme is celebrating its 87th anniversary on Friday, July 12, and to celebrate, the brand is offering its customers a fun offer.
Under the “buy one, get one (almost) free” promotion, customers who purchase a dozen doughnuts at regular price can receive a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for 87 cents on July 12, the company announced Tuesday. There’s a limit of two dozen when purchased in-store or through the drive-thru, and one dozen when purchased online for pickup or delivery.
According to Krispy Kreme, customers who order online can take advantage of the offer by using the code BDAY.
“Treating our fans on our birthday is a long-standing tradition,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release.
Where can I find a Krispy Kreme store near me in Ohio?
There are nine Krispy Kreme locations in Ohio, including stores in Akron, Cleveland, several in Columbus and one in West Chester Township near Cincinnati.
Once you place an order, the stores offer both pickup and delivery options. Rewards members can score even more free stuff, and all Ohio locations participate in the loyalty program, meaning you can collect points and redeem them for free donuts or coffee.

Krispy Kreme is giving away free donuts and iced coffee two days a week in July
Want more freebies? The doughnut chain is giving members of its Krispy Kreme rewards loyalty program a free doughnut every Tuesday and a free iced coffee every Friday with every purchase in the month of July, the company said.
To participate in Krispy Kreme’s July giveaway (free donuts on Tuesdays and free iced coffee on Fridays), you’ll need to be a member of the chain’s rewards program. You can sign up by downloading the Krispy Kreme app or creating an account on the company’s website. You’ll need to make a purchase (perhaps something from the Dolly Parton donut collection?) to receive the freebies on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Krispy Kreme was founded in 1937 by Vernon Rudolph, who, according to the company, started out selling doughnuts to grocery stores.
