Seven cars from the Red Bull stable, including championship-winning models, took to the famous hill climb. Former drivers Christian Klein, Mark Webber, and Daniel Ricciardo graced the track behind the wheels of early Red Bull cars, while current stars Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez showcased the team’s latest competitive machines. Adrian Newey, the genius behind Red Bull’s designs, also took part in the festivities, driving his Aston Martin Valkyrie up the hill. The roar of various engine configurations, from V10 to V6, reverberated across the Goodwood Estate. After their thrilling runs, the drivers gathered on the House balcony to acknowledge the crowd’s appreciation. Verstappen, making his Festival of Speed debut, expressed his delight at being part of the event. Perez echoed the sentiment, highlighting the special occasion for the team. Beyond the track, Red Bull’s celebration extended to the Cathedral Paddock, where all 20 of their Formula 1 cars were on display. The unveiling of the RB17 track car provided a glimpse into the future of Red Bull’s technology. The team’s dominance was further showcased with the debut of the F1 Academy at Goodwood, featuring Red Bull driver Hamda Al Qubaisi. The festivities began with seven Red Bull cars from recent years taking to the Hill, with no fewer than six of them world champions. Starting with Christian Klein, who has been with the team since the beginning and drives the RB1, through to former Red Bull F1 drivers Mark Webber and Daniel Ricciardo behind the wheel of the RB6 and RB7 respectively, two cars from Sebastian Vettel’s era of dominance. Ricciardo delighted the crowd with a few donuts for the House, before being followed up the Hill by team boss Christian Horner in the RB8.
Then came the team’s current driver duo; three-time world champion Max Verstappen in his 2021 championship-winning RB16B car and Sergio Perez in last season’s RB18, joined by F1 Academy driver Hamda Al Qubaisi in her current championship-winning car. And what would Red Bull Racing be without the genius of Adrian Newey? The man behind it all took to the hill in a model that, among F1 models, showed off the diversity of his designs – the Aston Martin Valkyrie, with one of the team’s original drivers, David Coulthard, in the passenger seat. The sounds of the V10, V8 and V6 engines rippling across the Goodwood Estate were spectacular.
After parking in front of the House, the drivers all got out of their beautiful vehicles to gather on the Balcony, where a large crowd had gathered to show their appreciation for the team and their drivers, both past and present.
Headlining the festivities was Max Verstappen, who was making his first appearance at the Festival of Speed. Asked about the experience, he said: “It was amazing. I mean, to be honest, I watch it every year from home, but it’s great to be here and see so many people. I see so many different cars every year. I love racing, I love cars, so it’s a great event and it’s great to be here today.”
Sergio Pérez added: “It’s really special and with the team’s 20th anniversary it’s certainly a very special day for our organization.”

It was quite a weekend for Red Bull. The party started on Thursday at the Cathedral Paddock, where Red Bull had lined up all 20 of its Formula 1 cars and where you could soak up the atmosphere of the most dominant team of recent years.
Friday morning saw the reveal of the RB17, the F1 lap-capable track car that will eventually be sold to 50 lucky customers, and our first look at the work of Adrian Newey and the Red Bull Advanced Technologies team. Saturday saw a bit of history as F1 Academy debuted at Goodwood, as Red Bull driver Hamda Al Qubaisi climbed into the cockpit of her current car.
This was by far the biggest celebration of one Formula 1 team we have ever had at the Festival of Speed. Over the four days, Red Bull created an endless amount of moments that we will remember for a long time.
