Police are searching for suspects in a shooting near lower Latham Reservoir southeast of Kersey that sent two people to the hospital Saturday night.
Both victims had been taken to the hospital by the time police arrived, and are expected to survive, according to a release from the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said little is known about the suspects — including how many were involved — but one is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, wearing a blue shirt and dark blue jeans.
Police said they believe it is an isolated incident and there are no concerns for residents in the area. The Weld County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with any information to contact Detective Andrew Cole at 970-400-2822 or the non-emergency dispatch number at 970-350-9600.
