It is equipped with a 2 kg CNG tank, providing a claimed mileage of 102 kilometers per kilogram of CNG. This translates to a CNG range of 200 kilometers. When combined with the petrol tank, the motorcycle offers a total range of up to 330 kilometers. Market Presence Bajaj has initially commenced deliveries of the Freedom 125 in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The motorcycle is expected to gain popularity due to its innovative technology, affordability, and extended range, making it an attractive option for urban commuters.

Bajaj Auto has commenced deliveries of Freedom 125, its latest offering and the world’s first CNG-powered production motorcycle. The company had opened bookings for the motorcycle on the day of the launch event. The first delivery took place a little less than two weeks after the launch and was made in Pune, Maharashtra to Mr. Pravin Thorat. Bajaj had earlier stated that deliveries of the motorcycle would initially commence in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat.

The Freedom 125 is offered in three variants, with prices ranging from Rs 95,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh

The Bajaj Freedom 125, launched on July 5, comes in three variants — Drum, Drum LED (Rs 1.05 lakh) and Disc LED (Rs 1.10 lakh, all prices, ex-showroom). The Freedom will be offered in a total of five colours. Bajaj has managed to fit what it claims is the world’s longest motorcycle seat, measuring 785 mm. The top-of-the-line variant of the bike gets a negative LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.

The motorcycle is equipped with a 2 kg tank under the seat

The bike has a 2 kg CNG tank, mounted under the seat and a 2-litre auxiliary petrol tank that sits just ahead of the seat. Bajaj claims that when running purely on CNG, the Freedom can travel up to 102 kilometres per kilogram of CNG. The CNG range of the bike is pegged at 200 kilometres and when combined with the petrol tank, the Freedom has a range of up to 330 kilometres. There is a common valve for the petrol and CNG tank ports. Riders can switch between CNG or petrol use using a switch on the left handlebar cube.

In terms of powertrain, the motorcycle is equipped with a 125 cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 9.4 hp and 9.7 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The top speed of the motorcycle is 90.5 km/h on CNG and 93.4 km/h on petrol.
