Veach, from Chapin, South Carolina, made 26 appearances for the Gamecocks in 2024, making 12 starts. He finished with a 5-2 record, a 3.63 ERA, three saves, and 54 strikeouts in 44.2 innings pitched. In the SEC Tournament, Veach earned a win against Alabama, striking out six batters in 5.2 scoreless innings. He also struck out four in 4.2 innings during the NCAA Raleigh Regional win over James Madison. Veach is the fourth Gamecock to be drafted or signed by a team this week, joining Cole Messina, Eli Jones, and Garrett Gainey, who were all drafted on Monday.

Veach, a right-handed pitcher from Chapin, SC, played in 26 games for the Gamecocks in 2024, tying 12 games.e in the SEC in that category. He was 5-2 with a 3.63 ERA, three saves and 54 strikeouts in 44.2 innings pitched. Veach held opponents to a .209 batting average and earned a win in the SEC Tournament against Alabama on May 21, striking out six in 5.2 scoreless innings. He struck out four in 4.2 innings in an NCAA Raleigh Regional win over James Madison on May 31. In his two-year career with Carolina, Veach has seven wins and nine saves while striking out 86.

Veach is the fourth Gamecock drafted or signed by the 2024 team this week, joining Cole Messina, Eli Jones and Garrett Gainey, who were all drafted on Monday afternoon (July 15).
