Veach held opponents to a .209 batting average and earned a win in the SEC Tournament against Alabama on May 21, striking out six in 5.2 scoreless innings. He struck out four in 4.2 innings in an NCAA Raleigh Regional win over James Madison on May 31. In his two-year career with Carolina, Veach has seven wins and nine saves while striking out 86.
Veach is the fourth Gamecock drafted or signed by the 2024 team this week, joining Cole Messina, Eli Jones and Garrett Gainey, who were all drafted on Monday afternoon (July 15).
