TWENTY-FOUR soldiers are fighting for their lives in the hospital.
This came after a 36-year-old female soldier, believed to be from a military base in Tshwane, clashed with a platoon undergoing training at Dunnottar Military Base in Nigel, Ekurhuleni on Friday, July 19.
“At this time, 24 members have been injured and taken to hospital for medical attention,” said Colonel Noxolo Khweza, spokeswoman for the Gauteng police.

Khweza said Dunnottar police are investigating a reckless and negligent incident following a driving incident at Dunnottar military base on Friday.
Khweza said the suspect was arrested but released after consultation with the senior public prosecutor and for further investigation. The case will then be referred to the Nigel Magistrates Court for decision.
