Do you remember the 2009 Pixar animated film Up? Who can remember the iconic scene of Carl Fredricksen’s house taking to the sky, suspended by thousands of colorful balloons? It’s a film that has captured the hearts of many. Over the years, fans have tried to recreate the scene using Legos, paper, and other materials. Now, a pastry chef has perfectly recreated the scene from the film, taking his skills to levels that are beyond our imagination.
Chocolatier Amaury Guichon has left viewers in awe after posting an Instagram reel in which he recreated the scene entirely in chocolate! Complete with intricate detailing and colorful balloons, the chocolate house is a masterpiece that will leave you speechless.
The video begins with Amaury expertly pressing colored chocolate into oval cups, creating the perfect mini balloons. As the chocolate dries, he carefully joins the ovals together, creating countless little balloons. But that’s not all: he then pours a huge amount of liquid chocolate into a large oval cup, creating the main balloon. After adding a touch of blue food coloring and attaching the mini balloons, the masterpiece begins to take shape.
But wait, there’s more! Amaury expertly assembles chocolate slabs to form the iconic house from the movie Up. With a few brushstrokes, the chocolate house comes to life with colors. He then inserts a long stick into the large chocolate balloon and secures the house, floating it in the air with strings of sugar syrup. Voilà! The famous Up house is now floating before your eyes.
Amazing, right?
The video was posted a few days ago and has since gone viral, with over 48 million views. Pixar Productions was very pleased with the fantastic creation, writing: “This is incredible! Kevin would love this.” Kevin is a giant colorful bird in the film, resembling a cross between a parrot and a toucan.
