Her blooms, nurtured with tender love and attention, ignite a sense of wonder and tranquility in those who witness their vibrant hues and delicate textures. By sharing her passion for nature and offering exquisite floral creations, Fritz not only cultivates beauty but also enriches the lives of those she touches.
Molly Fritz grew up in Hastings in a family of gardeners. So a few years ago, when the pandemic hit and she was pregnant, Fritz started growing more flowers with a view to starting a small flower and vegetable business.
“I was pregnant and it was really hot when I started, but it was a good stress reliever to work in the garden. Especially during COVID.”
Today, her Little Roots Flower Farm and Florist business operates a self-serve stand (8 a.m. to dusk) on the far north end of Riverfront Drive, just off Highway 22. She also hosts events where people come to her gardens to pick their own flowers. (The next pick-your-own event is Aug. 3.)
