Prior to joining Bojangles, he held senior leadership positions at Burger King, LensCrafters, and McDonald’s, where he spent 20 years in various roles, including President of McDonald’s Chile, Group President of McDonald’s Canada and Latin America, and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Supply Chain, Development, and Franchising. Born has also served as a director of Golden State Foods, a member of the University of Miami President’s Council, and Director of Receptions for Research: the Greg Olsen Foundation. He has been involved with organizations such as the USG Corporation, Avon Products, Inc., the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Council of the Americas, NY, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Latin America. Born’s passion for the restaurant industry began in his teenage years in Miami, where he worked at McDonald’s and Burger King to help support his family. He credits his success to hard work and experience. Since joining Bojangles, Born has focused on improving the brand’s offering and customer experience. He introduced a hand-breaded boneless chicken platform, expanded the menu, implemented delivery services, and enhanced the drive-thru experience.
