A decade after actor Orlando Bloom sold his home in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles for nearly $4 million, Lord of the Rings And pirates of the caribbean The star’s infamous black-painted home is back on the market. Completely transformed inside but still sporting the dark-colored facade that reportedly annoyed neighbors back in the day and has since become quite trendy, the ranch-style home is now on the market for a cool $5 million. The listing is being held by Claire and Sam O’Connor of Berkshire Hathaway.
Documents show Bloom and his ex-wife Miranda Kerr paid nearly $2.8 million for the home in 2007. The couple, who were burglarized at the same location about two years later by the teen crew immortalized in the film Bling Ring, sold the house to an undisclosed buyer in 2014 before it eventually went to former Hulu executive and BlueView Real Estate founder Jeff Martin in a foreclosure sale in 2022 for $3.1 million.

Tucked behind gates amid a three-quarter-acre, double-sided lot in the Outpost Estates enclave that ramifies into the hills above Hollywood, the wood-sided, blue-shingled building was originally built in the 1940s. Extensively renovated during Martin’s ownership, the property features four bedrooms and as many bathrooms in approximately 3,300 square feet of stylish living space designed by Francesca Grace with white oak floors and high, wood-beamed ceilings, plus doors in every room that open to the outdoors.
Highlights include a picture-windowed living room with a striking veined marble fireplace and a door that opens to a patio perfect for outdoor lounging and entertaining. Outside, the terraces are headlined by a waterfall pool and spa, surrounded by a brick-clad sundeck and steps leading to a lofty, pergola-shaded seating area overlooking the city lights.
According to Mansion Global, the property also features a bedroom that is separate from the home and could be used as a recording studio, gym or office. There is also a long driveway that leads to a spacious parking lot with a two-car garage on either side.
