HENRY CO., Mo. (KCTV) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured over the weekend after he was thrown from his motorcycle when he hit a raccoon in the road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that on Sunday, July 28, at approximately 9:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to the area of Route RA and SW 170 Rd., west of Clinton, for reports of a motorcycle crash.
When emergency responders arrived, they observed a 2005 Harley Davidson, driven by Robert J. McCubbin, 41, of Creighton, Missouri, traveling south on the highway.
However, troopers noticed the bike hit a raccoon in the road, causing the bike to flip over. McCubbin was thrown from the bike as it was airborne.
First responders said McCubbin was taken to Belton Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. No further information has been released.
