Vulcan RCMP and High River Traffic Services responded to a serious accident on Sunday.
It happened in Vulcan County, north of the city of Vulcan, at the intersection of Highways 23 and 24.
According to the RCMP, it is believed that a pickup truck traveling south collided with an SUV traveling east.
The SUV attempted to cross Highway 24, with the collision occurring at the intersection.
All three occupants of the SUV were taken to hospital. One of them was transported by STARS Air Ambulance.
The driver of the truck, who was the sole occupant, was treated for minor injuries, but his life was not in danger.
Police are still investigating and expect more updates.
