It’s no surprise that most women have to shoulder the burden of housework, including cleaning, cooking, etc. Many of them also have the added responsibility of office work, but they still manage to do it all and end up exhausted. One TikTok mom, @5kids5catssomedogstoo, posted a video talking about how hard it is to balance housework with office work. “I’ve been working six, ten hours a day, and only one day off was a sick day,” Lynalice Bandy wrote in the video. As she does so, she shows off how dirty her entire house looks, with everything spilled all over it.

“I’d like to pretend I’m not the only one cleaning around here but as you can see,” the overlay reads. She can be seen making the bed and cleaning the room. “These rooms don’t get much attention when I’m not there, especially the countertops,” Bandy says. She goes on to explain why things have turned out the way they have at home. “During summer vacation my soon-to-be ex-husband claimed he couldn’t watch the kids while he focused on his homework,” the overlay reads. “Now that school is over he no longer has that excuse,” Bandy adds. The kids can also be seen helping her tidy a bedroom. She can then be seen cleaning another room, clearing a table and sweeping the floor. “Despite that, every day I’ve come home from work I’ve experienced some sort of disaster caused by inattentive parenting,” Bandy wrote.

She then goes on to list the disasters she comes home to. “Shampoo all over the carpets in the girls room, nail polish all over the nugget covers, hair and carpet. Scissors were used to cut hair, the down comforter, the mattress cover and two nugget covers,” the mother wrote. She is then seen cleaning up the living room. She continues, “My ex lost his temper and destroyed my dogs food bowl.”
“All of his attention is focused on the four vehicles in our driveway that he constantly wants to work on. His obsession has reached an all-time high, to the point of bringing car parts into the dining room and leaving oil everywhere. This was because he claimed he had to watch the kids and not doing the task was not an option,” the overlay reads as Bandy scrubs the counters and washes dishes. “I wish so badly that the housing economy wasn’t what it was and I could afford to move. My soul aches without a place to feel safe and happy. Hang in there, darlings,” Bandy concludes in the video. At the end, she also shows how clean the bedroom, living room, and kitchen look.
