The sheer ingenuity of combining the tang of wasabi with the subtlety of raita; the audacity of adding blue cheese to naan; and the creativity of serving Daulat ki Chaat – a winter speciality – all year round at Indian Accent can only be attributed to its Culinary Director – Chef Manish Mehrotra. After creating a phenomenal legacy in the Indian hospitality industry (15 years at Indian Accent and 9 years at Comorin), Chef Manish Mehrotra announced his departure from Indian Accent and Comorin to explore new frontiers.

A promise to return soon with something new

Indian Accent was voted #1 on NDTV’s list of ‘Best Restaurants for 2024’ and featured in the list of ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2024’. A pioneer of innovative Indian cuisine, Indian Accent cooked up a storm in Delhi with its tasting menus and later expanded its footprint to New York and Mumbai.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Accent’s exclusive pop-up at Zarf, Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bengaluru. From Kanyakumari Crab to Murg Malai with fresh truffle, the pop-up led by Chef Rijul Gulati was a sublime degustation of Indian Accent’s signature dishes.
