Tulsa Times: Massive Art Installation Unveiled at Gathering PlaceTulsa Times: Massive Art Installation Unveiled at Gathering Place Tulsa, Oklahoma – The Gathering Place, Tulsa’s newest and largest riverfront park, has unveiled a breathtaking art installation that has captivated the city. The installation, titled “Tulsa Time,” is a collaboration between artist Rick Lowe and the Gathering Place Foundation. It consists of six interconnected steel structures, each representing a different era in Tulsa’s history. The structures are adorned with thousands of LED lights, which create a mesmerizing display that changes colors and patterns throughout the day and night. The installation is designed to reflect the city’s past, present, and future. “Tulsa Time is a celebration of Tulsa’s resilience and its journey of renewal,” said Lowe. “It is a work of art that invites people to reflect on the city’s history and to imagine its possibilities.” The installation is located at the Gathering Place’s Riverfront Plaza and is open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It has quickly become a favorite spot for visitors and residents alike. “Tulsa Time is a stunning addition to our city,” said Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum. “It is a work of art that will inspire people for generations to come.” The Gathering Place Foundation, a non-profit organization, raised funds to bring Tulsa Time to the park. The installation cost approximately $10 million and was made possible through donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. “We believe that art has the power to transform communities,” said Gathering Place Foundation Chairman Michael Bartlett. “Tulsa Time is a testament to that power.” The unveiling of Tulsa Time marks a major milestone in the development of the Gathering Place. The park, which opened in September 2018, has quickly become a popular destination for families, friends, and tourists. “Tulsa Time is a symbol of Tulsa’s renaissance,” said Gathering Place CEO Tony Moore. “It is a reminder that our city is on the rise and that we have a bright future ahead.”
